Rant on Capital One Credit Card: What's in your wallet?

Got a call from Capital One today telling me I owe a payment of $280. I told them my account was current and they said this was for the months of Aug., Sept and Oct. Today is Aug 11 and my due date for Aug. is 1st week of  Sept. They were trying to bill me MONTHS in advance AND add a late fee charge for a payment that was NOT EVEN DUE YET! Then they said they would "waive" the so-called "late fee" even though the PAYMENT WAS NOT LATE, and again, NOT EVEN DUE YET!

What's in your wallet?

My rant with Capital One goes like this: Moved into a new apt. in 2009. Kept getting Capital One bills for a person who lived in the apartment before us. I returned all the bills to Capital One with "Moved" written on them. Then, they mailed a brand new Capital One chip card in the previous tenants name. A week later Capital One SENT ME THE PIN # to activate the card! Talk about lax security! After receiving 143 bills, and the card and pin number, I contacted Capital One to stop the bills, and tell them they are sending cards that could be used by a crook to order stuff online. They took my name, and now I am on their list! I get phone calls from Capital One at all hours asking if I want a credit card with them. I have moved, and Capital One has tracked me down again, this time with pre-approved checks made out to me for $3500 mailed to my NEW address! Fine print says MONTHLY interest rates are a whopping 29.9%! Minimum monthly payments would take over 30+ years to pay off. I thought loan-sharking was a criminal offence! I would NEVER deal with Capital One!
